About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Telecoms Installation Engineer to join their team, covering the Reading area. This role involves the precise installation, configuration, and commissioning of advanced telecommunications equipment at client sites. You will ensure that installations meet stringent quality and performance standards, providing a high level of technical expertise and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test telecommunications hardware, including routers, switches, servers, and transmission equipment.
• Perform site surveys and plan installation activities to ensure efficient deployment.
• Commission new network infrastructure and integrate it with existing systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues encountered during installation and commissioning phases.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior installation engineers.
• Ensure all installations adhere to project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Installation Engineer or Field Technician in the telecoms sector.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies and network infrastructure.
• Proficiency with testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the service region.
