Senior Telecoms Network Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Telecoms Network Architect to join their advanced technology team, working remotely to support operations across the UK, including their base in Brighton . You will be responsible for designing and evolving the high-level architecture of their telecommunications networks, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and capable of supporting future technological advancements. This role demands a deep technical understanding of complex network systems and the ability to envision and articulate future network strategies within the telecoms sector .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the overall architecture for the client's telecoms network , encompassing both current and future states.
• Define technology roadmaps and strategies for network evolution, including areas like 5G, SDN, and cloud integration.
• Evaluate new technologies and solutions, making recommendations for adoption to enhance network capabilities and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure architectural designs are practical and implementable.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on architectural best practices and standards.
• Identify opportunities for network optimization, cost reduction, and service improvement.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (8+ years) in telecommunications network architecture and design.
• Deep knowledge of various network domains including IP networking, wireless technologies (4G/5G), fibre optics, and cloud networking.
• Experience with network virtualization, software-defined networking (SDN), and network function virtualization (NFV).
• Strong understanding of security architectures and best practices for telecoms networks .
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences in a remote setting.
