Senior Telecoms Network Architect

About the Role

Our client is looking for an accomplished Senior Telecoms Network Architect to lead the strategic design and development of their advanced network infrastructure. This is a fully remote position, empowering you to contribute significantly to our technical vision from anywhere in the UK. Key Responsibilities

• Design and document high-level and low-level network architectures for core and access networks.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to ensure our network remains at the forefront of the industry.
• Develop strategies for network evolution, including capacity planning, service integration, and technology refreshes.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product management teams to define network requirements and roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex network design challenges and projects.
• Create and maintain comprehensive network design documentation, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in telecoms network architecture , with a proven track record of designing large-scale networks.
• Deep understanding of various network technologies such as SDN, NFV, DWDM, IP/MPLS, and 5G core.
• Expertise in network security principles and best practices for telecommunications environments.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and containerization technologies is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences in a remote setting.
