About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Telecoms Network Architect to join their technical leadership team in Plymouth, Devon . This role is instrumental in shaping the future of our client's telecommunications network by designing innovative, scalable, and resilient solutions. You will lead architectural initiatives, define network strategies, and ensure that our infrastructure meets the demands of evolving technologies and business needs. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in network design and implementation within the telecoms sector, coupled with a strong understanding of current and emerging network technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure telecoms network solutions for national and international deployment.
- Develop long-term network strategies and technology roadmaps, considering future growth and innovation.
- Evaluate and integrate new network technologies, protocols, and platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to network engineering teams during implementation phases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into comprehensive network designs.
- Ensure network designs adhere to industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in telecoms network architecture and design.
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, IP networking, and transmission technologies.
- Experience with SDN, NFV, and cloud networking concepts is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lead complex architectural projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
