Senior Telecoms Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy complex telecommunications networks, including routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
• Implement and manage network security protocols and policies to safeguard sensitive data and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and support, to resolve network-related incidents and implement enhancements.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of new networking technologies and vendor solutions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in telecoms network engineering .
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and other routing and switching protocols.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and network security best practices.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network problems in a high-pressure environment.
• Relevant industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in a team setting.
