About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Telecoms Network Engineer to join their dynamic team in Leicester . Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and robust telecom network solutions, including LAN/WAN , MPLS , and SD-WAN technologies.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime and ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define network requirements, develop project plans, and manage the deployment of new network infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement network enhancements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in telecoms network engineering , with a proven track record in network design and deployment.
• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and network security principles.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis techniques.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent practical experience are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve intricate network problems under pressure.
