Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-term network capacity and technology roadmaps based on traffic forecasts and business objectives.
• Analyse current network performance and utilisation data to identify trends and predict future needs.
• Design network expansion and upgrade strategies, evaluating different technology options and their cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure alignment between planning initiatives and implementation realities.
• Create detailed reports and presentations for management, outlining network plans, risks, and recommendations.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes impacting network planning.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in telecommunications network planning, design, or engineering.
• Expertise in network capacity planning methodologies and traffic analysis.
• Strong understanding of IP networking, routing protocols, and various telecom technologies (e.g., MPLS, fibre optics, wireless).
• Proficiency with network modelling and simulation tools.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills for remote collaboration in the Bristol area.
