Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Telecoms Network Security Specialist to bolster their security posture from their Cambridge office. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain advanced network security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and access control systems.
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing on telecoms networks .
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Monitor security alerts and logs, investigate potential security breaches, and lead incident response efforts.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies relevant to the telecoms industry .
• Collaborate with network engineering and operations teams to integrate security measures into network designs and operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in network security , with a focus on telecoms environments.
• In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with security hardware and software from leading vendors.
• Experience with SIEM tools, vulnerability scanning, and threat intelligence platforms.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
