Senior Telecoms Network Security Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Telecoms Network Security Specialist to bolster their cybersecurity defenses. In this critical, fully remote role, you will be responsible for protecting our network infrastructure from sophisticated threats, developing robust security strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will lead initiatives in threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response, safeguarding our vital telecommunications assets. This position demands a proactive approach, deep technical expertise, and the ability to operate autonomously in a dynamic, remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage advanced network security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning.
• Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Lead incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and remediation of security breaches.
• Monitor security logs and network traffic for suspicious activities and potential threats.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in network security, with a strong focus on telecoms networks .
• In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNA Security, GIAC).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
