Senior Telecoms RF Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Telecoms RF Engineer to join their innovative, remote-first engineering team. This role is crucial for designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting radio frequency (RF) systems and networks, ensuring high-quality wireless communication services. Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and optimize RF networks , including cellular, Wi-Fi, and other wireless technologies.
• Conduct site surveys, spectrum analysis, and interference testing to ensure optimal network performance.
• Troubleshoot complex RF issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain RF design documentation, propagation models, and performance reports.
• Evaluate and recommend new RF hardware and software technologies to enhance network capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the deployment and integration of RF systems.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in telecoms RF engineering .
• In-depth knowledge of RF propagation, antenna theory, and wireless communication standards (e.g., 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi).
• Proficiency with RF simulation and design tools (e.g., Atoll, Pathloss, iBwave).
• Experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
