You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, investigating incidents, implementing security measures, and contributing to the development of robust security strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security alerts from various sources, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and network traffic.
• Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and develop containment and eradication strategies.
• Implement and manage security controls, policies, and procedures across the telecoms network environment.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees and stakeholders.
• Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques relevant to the telecoms industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a significant focus on telecommunications environments.
• In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies (firewalls, VPNs, encryption).
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and packet analysis tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CEH are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a Bristol -based role.
