Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Telecoms Software Developer to join their distributed engineering team, supporting operations that serve the Brighton region. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions for the telecommunications infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality software for telecommunications systems using languages like Python, Java, or C++.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices in software development.
• Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to define software requirements and technical specifications.
• Optimize application performance, database interactions, and system scalability for telecoms applications .
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to enhance code quality and team knowledge.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects and issues in production environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant focus on telecoms software .
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
