Senior Test Engineer role within Scott Logic – a client‑facing, hands‑on position that involves the full development lifecycle, delivering mission‑critical projects for high‑profile global organisations.

Typical day involves working in small, tight‑knit multidisciplinary teams to decode tough software problems while enjoying high levels of freedom and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Be a client‑facing engineer involved in the full development lifecycle.
• Deliver mission‑critical projects for high‑profile global organisations.
• Work in small, multidisciplinary teams to tackle complex software challenges.
• Promote collaboration, pragmatism and high autonomy within the team.
• Reference and follow organisational best practices for testing and quality.

Qualifications & Experience

• Testing mindset, including critical thinking, healthy scepticism and a desire to improve team quality.
• Background in software engineering.
• Experience applying tooling and automation in testing.
• Consulting skills: excellent communication, collaboration and commercial awareness.
• Awareness of the use of AI in testing.
• Experience and expertise in at least one testing specialism:
• Testing of AI systems
• API Testing
• Data Engineering Testing
• Domain specific testing (e.g., Financial Services)

This role is based in our city centre office and is likely to involve occasional travel, including infrequent day trips or short periods across the UK. If you prefer more travel, opportunities are available and we are open to discussion.
