They are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Town Planner to hit the ground running for their Sheffield office.

Leading and managing a varied portfolio of planning projects. Providing high-quality planning advice to clients across a range of development sectors. Developing and implementing planning strategies for complex development proposals. Managing and coordinating planning applications from initial feasibility through to submission and determination. Preparing and reviewing planning reports, statements and other technical documentation. Liaising confidently with local planning authorities, statutory consultees and other stakeholders. Coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams and ensuring projects remain on programme. Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with clients. Supporting business development and identifying opportunities to grow existing client relationships. Contributing to the wider development and success of the consultancy. Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team.Requirements for the role of Senior Town Planner:
Relevant degree within Town Planning or another relevant discipline that is RTPI accredited RTPI chartership or working towards chartership Significant experience within a planning consultancy, developer, local authority or related environment Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and development management process Experience managing planning applications and projects from inception through to determination Experience working on complex or high-profile development schemes Excellent written and verbal communication skills The confidence to engage with clients, consultants, planning officers and other stakeholders at a senior level Strong project management and organisational skills A commercially minded approach and an understanding of the development process A genuine interest in placemaking and creating successful, sustainable places The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environmentIf This role interests you or if you are interested in searching for other roles relating to architecture please feel free to contact Ben Moore on (phone number removed) or email (url removed).
