About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-term transport strategies and network designs to meet business growth and efficiency targets.
• Utilize advanced planning software and data analytics to model, simulate, and optimize transportation routes, modes, and costs.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, operations, sales) and external partners to ensure seamless integration of transport plans.
• Analyze transport performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and propose data-driven solutions for continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies impacting the transportation sector .
• Mentor junior planning staff and contribute to the development of best practices within the planning function.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in transport planning , logistics strategy, or supply chain network design, ideally within a large organization.
• Advanced proficiency in transport planning software (e.g., Paragon, PTV) and strong analytical skills using tools like Excel or SQL.
• Deep understanding of various transportation modes (road, rail, sea, air) and their associated economics and operational complexities.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication abilities, with the capacity to influence stakeholders remotely.
• A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage complex projects in a remote setting.
