Senior Transportation Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of highway, junction, and public transport infrastructure projects.
• Develop traffic models, conduct traffic impact assessments, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports for client and regulatory approval.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, statutory undertakers, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, promoting technical excellence and professional development within the team.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related transportation discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in transportation engineering, with a proven track record in project leadership.
• Proficiency in transportation design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and traffic modelling software (e.g., PTV Vissim, SIDRA).
• Thorough understanding of UK highway design standards (e.g., DMRB), traffic management principles, and planning policies.
• Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
