Senior UI/UX Artist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and user-focused Senior UI/UX Artist to join their remote team based in Nottingham . You will be responsible for designing intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the player experience. Working closely with game designers and programmers, you will translate gameplay mechanics and player needs into seamless and accessible interfaces, from concept to implementation. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement user interface elements, menus, HUDs, and other visual components for games.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate UI/UX concepts.
• Ensure the user interface is intuitive, accessible, and aesthetically consistent with the game's overall art style.
• Collaborate with designers and programmers to integrate UI elements into the game engine.
• Optimize UI assets for performance and scalability across various platforms.
• Conduct user research and gather feedback to iterate and improve UI/UX designs.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on game development.
• A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional UI/UX design work, including mockups, prototypes, and shipped titles.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and potentially 3D software.
• Understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability testing.
• Experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and their UI systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for remote teamwork.
