Senior UI/UX Designer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and user-focused Senior UI/UX Designer to enhance the player experience for their innovative projects within the Arts & Entertainment sector, based in our Nottingham studio. This role is critical for crafting intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces and seamless user experiences across all their interactive products. You will collaborate closely with game designers, product managers, and engineers to translate complex functionality into user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing interfaces. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer passionate about player interaction to shape the usability and visual identity of high-profile games.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and prototype user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) for games and related applications.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze player feedback to inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, mockups, flowcharts, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Collaborate with game designers to ensure UI/UX elements support gameplay mechanics and narrative goals.
• Work with engineers to implement UI/UX designs, ensuring technical feasibility and optimal performance.
• Develop and maintain UI style guides and design systems to ensure consistency across projects.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience as a UI/UX Designer in the game industry or a related field, with a portfolio showcasing strong design principles and user-centered solutions.
• Proficiency in UI/UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Experience with usability testing methodologies and analyzing user data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present design ideas clearly and persuasively.
