Senior UX Researcher

About the Role

Our client, a renowned research and development institution in Oxford , Oxfordshire, is seeking a proactive and insightful Senior UX Researcher to join their user experience team. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive user research to inform the design and development of innovative digital products and services. This role involves planning and executing various research methodologies, analyzing user data, and translating findings into actionable recommendations that enhance user satisfaction and product success, contributing to the intellectually vibrant environment of Oxford .

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research studies, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and field studies.
• Analyze research data and synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights and compelling presentations for product teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and developers to define research objectives and integrate user feedback into the product development lifecycle.
• Advocate for the user throughout the design process, ensuring that user needs and behaviors are central to product strategy.
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the advancement of UX research best practices within the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in user experience research, with a strong portfolio showcasing research methodologies and impact.
• Proven expertise in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Experience with user research tools and platforms for data collection and analysis.
• Excellent analytical, synthesis, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex findings clearly.
• Strong understanding of human-computer interaction (HCI) principles, essential for working in a collaborative hybrid setting in Oxford .
