Senior Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable franchise-approved car dealership based in Swindon, Wiltshire, for the role of Senior Vehicle Technician. This is an excellent Senior Vehicle Technician opportunity for experienced technicians seeking to join a well-established dealership with career development prospects. The successful individual will report to the Service Manager and work within a friendly, professional workshop environment. The Senior Vehicle Technician will be responsible for fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs to manufacturer standards. Ensuring vehicle safety, reliability, and performance are maintained to high quality standards is essential. You will also be expected to communicate findings effectively and support team goals.

Duties

• Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and vehicle repairs in line with manufacturer procedures
• Accurately identify faults and report vehicle conditions regarding safety, reliability, and performance
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards throughout all tasks
• Assist in maintaining workshop organisation and support team objectives
• Support junior staff and mentor as appropriate
• Optional: carry out MOT testing and work on light commercial vehicles

Requirements

• Fully qualified Vehicle Technician (IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• At least one to two years’ relevant experience post-qualification
• Valid driving licence with minimal points
• A committed, team-oriented individual with high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work efficiently within a dealership environment
• Motivated to meet targets and contribute to team success
