Senior VFX Artist

About the Role

Our client is looking for an accomplished Senior VFX Artist to join their groundbreaking visual effects team in Plymouth . This role is central to creating breathtaking visual effects that enhance cinematic and interactive experiences. You will conceptualize, design, and implement stunning VFX for a variety of projects, working closely with directors, technical directors, and other artists to achieve unparalleled visual fidelity. Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute high-quality visual effects, including explosions, magic, environmental effects, and more.
• Develop particle systems, simulations, and shaders to achieve desired visual outcomes.
• Collaborate with the art and technical teams to integrate VFX seamlessly into the final production.
• Optimize VFX for real-time performance in game engines or for efficient rendering in film pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to VFX creation and implementation.
• Mentor junior VFX artists and contribute to establishing best practices within the team.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a VFX Artist , with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual effects work.
• Proficiency in VFX software such as Houdini, Maya, Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar.
• Strong understanding of physics, simulation, and real-time rendering principles.
• Experience with particle systems, fluid dynamics, and destruction simulations.
• Excellent artistic eye and a strong grasp of composition, color, and timing.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a studio environment and meet project deadlines.
