About the Role
Our client is seeking an imaginative and technically adept Senior VFX Artist to join their innovative studio in Milton Keynes . You will be responsible for the creation and implementation of stunning visual effects that elevate the gameplay experience and cinematic presentation of their projects. Working closely with the art and design teams, you will bring explosive action, magical spells, and environmental phenomena to life with breathtaking visual flair. Key Responsibilities
- Design, create, and implement visually impactful visual effects (VFX) for characters, environments, and gameplay events.
- Utilize particle systems, shaders, and scripting to achieve desired aesthetic and performance targets.
- Collaborate with technical artists and engineers to optimize VFX performance across various platforms.
- Maintain and evolve the VFX pipeline and establish best practices for asset creation and integration.
- Provide art direction and feedback to junior VFX artists, fostering their artistic and technical growth.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a VFX Artist in the game industry.
- Expertise with real-time VFX creation tools within major game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
- Proficiency in relevant software such as Houdini, Maya, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of particle systems , fluid dynamics simulation, and shader development.
- A keen artistic eye for detail, timing, and composition, with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality work.
