About the Role

Our client, a leader in the Arts & Entertainment industry, is looking for an experienced Senior VFX Supervisor to join their prestigious team in Sheffield . This senior role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of visual effects pipelines, creative vision, and strong leadership skills. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical and artistic aspects of complex visual effects projects, ensuring seamless integration with live-action footage and delivering breathtaking results. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing VFX teams and delivering high-quality work on time and within budget, contributing to groundbreaking visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creative and technical direction of visual effects for film and television projects.
• Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and cinematographers to conceptualize and implement VFX solutions.
• Manage the VFX pipeline, ensuring efficient workflows from pre-production through to final delivery.
• Supervise on-set VFX supervision when required, coordinating with production teams.
• Provide guidance and feedback to the VFX team, including artists, modelers, animators, and compositors.
• Ensure the quality and artistic integrity of all visual effects elements.
• Manage VFX budgets and schedules, identifying potential risks and proposing solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in visual effects, with significant experience in a supervisory or lead role.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex VFX projects for film or television.
• Extensive knowledge of VFX software and pipelines (e.g., Maya, Houdini, Nuke, RenderMan).
• Strong understanding of cinematography, set design, and live-action production.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
