About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and imaginative Senior Video Editor to join their creative team in Glasgow . This role is essential for producing high-quality video content that tells compelling stories and effectively communicates brand messages. You will be responsible for all aspects of video post-production, from assembling raw footage to adding graphics, sound, and music, ensuring a polished and professional final product. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of rhythm and pacing, and a passion for visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit video footage for various platforms, including marketing videos, social media content, corporate communications, and training materials.
• Assemble rough cuts, determine necessary video/audio additions, and create final cuts that are engaging and meet project objectives.
• Incorporate graphics, special effects, sound effects, music, and voice-overs into video projects.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and other creative team members to achieve the desired creative vision.
• Manage and organize video assets and project files efficiently.
• Ensure all video content is optimized for different platforms and formats.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse video editing projects.
• Expert proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong understanding of video editing principles, pacing, storytelling, and visual composition.
• Experience with motion graphics and visual effects software is a significant advantage.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
