Senior VMware/VCF Engineer

Requirements:

• Active SC clearance required
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• Experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
• Experience with NSX and NSX-T
• Experience in VMware infrastructure design and implementation
• Experience with on-premise to cloud migration
• Experience with infrastructure transformation and software-defined data centre (SDDC)
• Experience with vSAN, HCX, and/or VMware Aria is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and migrate enterprise VMware infrastructure
• Support a major UK defence programme linked to a high-profile submarine project
• Work within a significant on-premise to cloud migration programme
• Contribute to a security-sensitive infrastructure transformation environment

We are recruiting for a Senior VMware / VCF Infrastructure Engineer to join a major UK defence programme supporting a high-profile submarine project. This is a 6-month rolling contract offering up to £650 per day inside IR35, based in Reading with a hybrid working model of 2 days per week onsite. We are delivering a genuinely interesting infrastructure transformation programme centred around VMware Cloud Foundation and NSX, and we are looking for someone comfortable working in complex, security-sensitive environments.
