Senior Well Completions Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Well Completions Engineer to join their technical team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is essential for the design, planning, and execution of effective well completion strategies that ensure safe and efficient production of hydrocarbons. You will be responsible for selecting appropriate completion equipment, optimizing completion designs, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during installation and operation. Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize well completion programs for conventional and unconventional wells.
• Specify and select appropriate completion equipment, including liners, packers, safety valves, and production systems.
• Develop detailed completion procedures, including running sequences, testing protocols, and contingency plans.
• Oversee the execution of completion operations, ensuring adherence to safety and technical specifications.
• Analyze completion performance data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements for future wells.
• Collaborate closely with drilling, production, and reservoir engineering teams throughout the well lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in well completions engineering, with a strong understanding of downhole tools and equipment.
• Proficiency in well completion design software and interpretation of well data.
• Experience with various completion types, including single, multi-zone, and intelligent completions.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to offshore and onshore operations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
