Senior Well Integrity Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and detail-oriented Senior Well Integrity Engineer to join their operations team in Norwich . This role is fundamental to ensuring the safety, reliability, and environmental compliance of our wells within the energy sector . You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive well integrity management systems, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing well integrity monitoring programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of well construction, completion, and maintenance, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with drilling, production, and regulatory teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Well Integrity Management System (WIMS) .
• Conduct regular well integrity assessments and risk analyses to identify potential failure modes.
• Oversee and interpret well integrity testing and monitoring data (e.g., pressure tests, P&V, caliper logs).
• Develop and approve well intervention programs focused on maintaining integrity.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and field personnel on well integrity best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in well integrity engineering or related well operations.
• Strong understanding of well design, completion equipment, cement integrity, and subsurface safety devices (SSDs) .
• Experience with regulatory requirements and industry standards for well integrity (e.g., NORSOK D-010).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
