Senior Well Integrity Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Well Integrity Engineer to bolster their technical expertise in Derby, Derbyshire, UK . This role is paramount to ensuring the safe, reliable, and environmentally sound operation of wells throughout their lifecycle within the Oil & Gas sector. You will lead integrity management programs, develop inspection and maintenance strategies, and ensure compliance with stringent regulatory standards. The position requires a proactive engineer with a deep understanding of well construction, completion, and integrity assurance, capable of driving best practices and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive well integrity management systems and strategies.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop inspection and testing programs for well components.
• Oversee well integrity surveillance activities and analyze data to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Provide expert technical advice on well repair and intervention strategies to maintain integrity.
• Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements for well integrity.
• Lead root cause analysis investigations for well integrity failures and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience focused on well integrity in the Oil & Gas industry .
• Strong knowledge of well construction, completions, downhole equipment, and barrier testing.
• Familiarity with well integrity standards (e.g., ISO 16530-1) and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical skills and experience with integrity management software.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience mentoring junior engineers.
