About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Well Integrity Engineer to join their technical team based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK , with a hybrid work arrangement. This role is fundamental to ensuring the long-term safety, reliability, and environmental compliance of the company's wells. You will be responsible for developing and implementing well integrity management systems, assessing well performance, and overseeing repair and intervention strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the well integrity management system (WIMS) in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Conduct regular integrity assessments of wells, including data analysis, failure analysis, and risk assessments.
- Plan and oversee well integrity-related operations, such as inspections, testing, and repairs.
- Provide technical support and guidance on well integrity issues to drilling, operations, and maintenance teams.
- Monitor well performance and identify potential integrity threats or non-compliance issues.
- Manage the lifecycle of well integrity equipment and materials.
- Stay current with industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to well integrity.
- Develop and deliver training programs on well integrity principles and procedures.
Requirements
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in well integrity engineering or related roles in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of well construction, completion, and abandonment principles.
- Proven experience with well integrity standards (e.g., ISO 16530-1) and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in well integrity software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
