About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Well Integrity Engineer to join their team in Plymouth . This critical on-site role is focused on ensuring the integrity and safety of wells throughout their lifecycle. You will be responsible for developing and implementing well integrity management systems, conducting integrity assessments, and overseeing repair and maintenance activities. A strong understanding of well construction, downhole equipment, and regulatory requirements is essential. This position demands a meticulous approach and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and environmental protection in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive well integrity management plans and procedures.
- Conduct risk-based assessments of well integrity, identifying potential failure mechanisms.
- Oversee the inspection, testing, and monitoring of well components, including casing, cement, and subsurface safety devices.
- Manage and execute well integrity assurance programs and maintenance activities.
- Investigate well integrity incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices for well integrity.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in well integrity engineering or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of well construction, completion, and intervention technologies.
- Experience with well integrity assessment techniques and failure analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 16530) and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
