About the Role
Our client is seeking a technically proficient and analytical SEO Analyst to join their growing marketing team based in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for driving organic search visibility by conducting in-depth analysis, identifying optimization opportunities, and implementing effective SEO strategies. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of search engine algorithms, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. You will work closely with content creators, developers, and the broader marketing team to ensure our digital presence is optimized for search engines and delivers excellent user experiences across Scotland and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive SEO audits and performance analyses to identify areas for improvement in website architecture, content, and technical SEO.
- Perform keyword research and analysis to identify high-value opportunities for organic growth.
- Develop and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies, including content optimization, link building, and technical SEO recommendations.
- Monitor keyword rankings, website traffic, and conversion rates using tools like Google Analytics and SEMrush.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to ensure strategies remain effective.
- Collaborate with web development and content teams to implement SEO recommendations and track their impact.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an SEO-focused role, with demonstrable success in improving organic search rankings and traffic.
- Strong proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and Google Search Console.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Solid understanding of technical SEO aspects, including site speed, mobile-friendliness, and schema markup.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and web development principles.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
