About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and strategic SEO Manager to oversee their search engine optimization efforts from their office in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve organic search rankings, drive qualified traffic, and enhance website visibility. This role requires a deep understanding of search engine algorithms, technical SEO, content strategy, and link building, working closely with content, development, and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated across all digital initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy to increase organic search visibility and traffic.
- Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and content gap analysis to identify opportunities.
- Implement technical SEO best practices, including site speed optimization, mobile-friendliness, and schema markup.
- Oversee and guide on-page and off-page optimization efforts, including content creation, meta tag optimization, and link building.
- Monitor SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush, providing regular reports and actionable insights.
- Stay abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an SEO Manager or Senior SEO Specialist, with a demonstrable track record of improving organic search rankings and traffic.
- In-depth knowledge of technical SEO , on-page optimization, and off-page strategies.
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar.
- Strong understanding of content marketing and its role in SEO.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Experience working with web development teams to implement technical recommendations.
