Role and Client Overview
Service and Projects Coordinator require for our client, they deliver renewable energy, plumbing and heating services, with a focus on sustainable, cost-effective systems. The business supports customers across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties and provides ongoing servicing and maintenance to help systems operate efficiently and reliably over the long term.
Based in the client’s Ely office, the Service and Projects Coordinator will support the Project Manager with project administration while taking a lead role in coordinating service and maintenance activities. The position will involve organising engineer schedules, responding to breakdown requests and ensuring effective communication between customers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
Service and Projects Coordinator Key Responsibilities
- Schedule maintenance engineers’ work, including daily and weekly planning.
- Take emergency breakdown calls and allocate engineers as required.
- Coordinate communication between engineers, subcontractors and office teams.
- Create service and maintenance bookings and deposit invoices.
- Raise purchase orders and process invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to support the smooth delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain organised and up-to-date project, maintenance and operational documentation.
- Support the Projects Manager with all projects administration
- Manage client communication, reporting and contract documentation.
- Ensure maintenance records are accurate and regularly maintained.
- Coordinate resources and facilitate communication between teams.
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships and help ensure timely deliveries.
- Conduct regular stock audits and investigate discrepancies.
- Oversee the maintenance of company assets and vehicles.
Service and Projects Coordinator Requirements
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, proactively and effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Experience of coordinating engineers, maintenance services or field-based teams would be advantageous.
Service and Projects Coordinator Remuneration
- Salary £32,000 - £36,000
- Working hours Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm, with a one-hour lunch break.
- 20 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
