Service Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and proactive Service Coordinator to manage the scheduling and dispatch of field service engineers for Installation & Maintenance tasks in the Bradford region. This role is the central hub for ensuring efficient service delivery, requiring excellent communication and logistical planning skills. You will be responsible for coordinating appointments, managing engineer workloads, and ensuring timely responses to client requests. The successful candidate will play a critical part in maintaining high standards of service and client satisfaction, working closely with both the field team and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch field service engineers for installation, maintenance, and repair jobs.
• Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries regarding service appointments.
• Monitor engineer locations and job progress to ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Maintain and update the service management system with accurate job details and technician assignments.
• Coordinate with parts departments to ensure necessary components are available for service calls.
• Liaise with customers to confirm appointment details and provide updates.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Service Coordinator or similar dispatch role.
• Familiarity with the Installation & Maintenance sector is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in using service management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
