The Role
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for attending customer properties to carry out repairs, servicing, adjustments, and maintenance on a range of windows and doors. You'll diagnose faults, provide practical solutions, and ensure every customer receives a professional and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs, servicing, and maintenance on uPVC and aluminium windows and doors.
- Diagnose faults and complete remedial work to a high standard.
- Adjust windows and doors to ensure correct operation.
- Replace locks, hinges, handles, glass units, and other hardware where required.
- Complete warranty and aftercare service visits.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company standards.
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the business professionally.
- Accurately complete service reports and update job information.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
About You
- Previous experience working as a Service Engineer within the fenestration or home improvement industry.
- Strong knowledge of uPVC and aluminium window and door systems.
- Confident carrying out repairs, adjustments, and fault finding.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused.
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Full UK driving licence.
