Technical Services Manager
Location: Warwickshire (primarily site-based with travel to client locations)
Reporting To: Managing Director
Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing technical delivery capability, managing engineering resources, ensuring high standards of project execution, and maintaining compliance across health & safety, quality management systems, training, and operational performance. The role will work closely with senior leadership to support business growth, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Operational Leadership
Manage and develop the company's technical delivery function and site-based engineering teams.
Ensure projects and contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational processes and procedures.Health, Safety & Compliance
Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture across the business.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, company procedures, and industry standards.
Support and oversee ISO management systems, training compliance, and operational best practice.
Maintain a focus on continuous improvement across quality, safety, and technical delivery functions.Client & Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Support key account management activities and contribute to long-term client retention.Business Growth & Strategy
Support business development activities for both existing and prospective clients.
Contribute to strategic planning and operational growth initiatives.
Assist in the development of new services and solutions to meet market demands.
Work collaboratively with senior leadership to achieve business objectives and growth targets.People Management
Lead, motivate, and develop engineering and operational teams.
Identify training and development requirements across the department.Staff & Financial Responsibilities
Staff
Leadership and management of engineering and technical delivery personnel.
Oversight of health & safety, technical training, and workforce development activities.
Support operational teams in achieving project and business objectives.Financial

The ideal candidate will possess:
Proven experience in a Technical Services, Engineering Management, Operations Management or similar leadership role.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Experience managing site-based engineering or technical teams.
Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and quality management systems.
