Setting Out Engineer - Swaffham, Norfolk
Location: Swaffham, Norfolk
Rate: £350 - £400 per day (depending on experience)
Duration: 4-month contract
Start Date: 10th or 17th August
Anglian Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a major substation construction project based in Swaffham, Norfolk. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established project from the early stages and work with a professional site team on a high-profile infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out accurate setting out for all aspects of the project.
- Establishing and maintaining site control points.
- Interpreting engineering drawings and site plans.
- Ensuring all works are completed to specification and tolerances.
- Liaising closely with the Site Manager, Engineers and subcontractors.
- Producing setting out records and maintaining accurate site documentation.
- Assisting with quality assurance and surveying duties where required.
- Promoting and maintaining high standards of health and safety on site.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working on substations, utilities or major civil engineering projects is highly desirable.
- Proficient with Leica, Trimble or similar surveying equipment.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
- CSCS Card (essential).
- Relevant engineering qualification preferred.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
