Recruit4staff are representing an established manufacturing business in their search for a Sewing Machinist to work in Wrexham
- Pay: £13.05 per hour (overtime paid at 1.5x after 39 hours)
- Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:15pm
- Duration: Temp to Perm (12 weeks)

Job Role: As a Sewing Machinist , you will operate industrial sewing machines, including flatbed, twin needle and overlocker machines, to produce high-quality fabric and leather seat covers. The Sewing Machinist will retrieve cut components, sew pieces together according to work instructions, overlock cloth covers to prevent fraying and prepare completed covers for delivery to production lines.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Previous experience using a sewing machine in a Sewing Machinist or similar production role
- Good hand-eye coordination
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Positive attitude, hardworking approach and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- The Sewing Machinist must be comfortable following work instructions and completing repetitive production tasks accurately
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- NVQ/SVQ in Sewing and Textiles Manufacturing would be advantageous for the Sewing Machinist
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Fashion and Textiles
- City & Guilds sewing or textile qualification
