Job Description
SHEQ Officer
We're looking for an experienced SHEQ Officer to with demolition experience to support, demolition enabling works and specialist contracting projects across multiple sites.
This is a hands-on, site-based role where you'll work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and operatives to promote a positive safety culture, ensure legal compliance and drive high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out SHEQ site inspections, audits and compliance monitoring.
Provide practical HSEQ advice and support to site teams.
Review RAMS, COSHH assessments and Construction Phase Plans.
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and workforce briefings.
Review subcontractor RAMS and monitor contractor performance.
Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
Produce inspection reports and promote continuous improvement across projects.You'll Have
Experience in a SHEQ, HSEQ or Health & Safety role within construction, civil engineering, demolition or enabling works.
Strong practical site experience and knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
Experience carrying out audits, inspections, incident investigations and RAMS reviews.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.Essential Qualifications
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
SMSTS
Full UK Driving LicenceDesirable:
ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Internal Auditor experience
