Shift Maintenance Engineer / Plant Technician – Mechanical Bias
EXPERIENCED MECHANICAL ENGINEERS WITH BASIC ELECTRICAL SKILLS REQUIRED TO BUILD A SHIFT TEAM
Location: South Kirkby
Hours: Panama shifts days and nights, every other weekend off.
Starting Salary: £44,760 (inc. Shift Allowance, Travel Allowance, Formal Electrical Training, Enhanced Overtime). Opportunity to Progress Salary: £1,500.
Benefits: Formal Electrical Training, Enhanced Overtime.
Responsibilites
- Undertake mechanical repairs to recycling equipment and conveyor systems.
- Perform basic electrical work such as contacts, motor changes, sensors, and other maintenance tasks.
- Take jobs and report work using the CMMS system.
- Work as part of a team to minimise plant downtime.
Qualifications & Experience
- Multiskilled mechanical engineer or equivalent experience (maintenance technician, plant fitter, mechanical technician, plant engineer).
- Experience working on large production or capital plant equipment such as balers, compactors, shredders, crushers, trommels, screeners and conveyor systems.
- NVQ3 or higher in a mechanical discipline.
- Electrical skills such as motor changes, contacts, sensors; training in electrical for mechanical will be provided. Full electrical NVQ may be offered.
- Time-served is preferred.
