About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Shift Operations Manager to oversee critical operations during assigned shifts at their facility in Portsmouth . This hands-on role is essential for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient functioning of daily operations, managing staff, and responding effectively to any operational challenges that arise. You will be a key leader on the ground, responsible for upholding high standards of performance and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all operational activities during assigned shifts, ensuring efficiency and productivity targets are met.
• Supervise, train, and motivate operational staff, fostering a positive and performance-driven work environment.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, operational procedures, and quality standards at all times.
• Monitor operational performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement immediate solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Liaise with other departments and management to ensure seamless operational flow and communication.
• Maintain detailed records of shift activities, operational metrics, and any incidents or deviations.

Requirements

• Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management , preferably in a shift-based or 24/7 environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
• Solid understanding of operational processes, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or logistics environment is advantageous.
