Shipping and Receiving Clerk

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join their logistics team in Liverpool . This role is essential for managing the accurate and efficient flow of goods into and out of the warehouse. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, and maintaining detailed records of all inventory movements. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency, contributing to the smooth operation of our client's supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in picking, packing, and labeling.
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing goods using the company's inventory system.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely dispatch.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting procedures.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a shipping or receiving role within a warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse work.
• Good communication skills for interacting with suppliers, carriers, and internal staff.
• Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
