Site Agent – Infrastructure / Earthworks
Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire
Salary: Competitive + Package
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a major infrastructure scheme in Didcot, working for a well-established main contractor.
This is a key site-based role with a particular focus on earthworks and civil engineering, overseeing the day-to-day delivery of works and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and resources.
The Role
* Take responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of earthworks and associated civil engineering activities.
* Manage site operations, ensuring works are delivered to programme, budget and required quality standards.
* Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, materials and resources.
* Monitor progress and productivity, identifying and addressing any issues that could impact the programme.
* Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety, environmental and quality requirements.
* Review RAMS, permits, inspection records and other project documentation.
* Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives.
* Maintain accurate site records and provide regular progress updates.
* Assist with planning, sequencing and short-term programming of works.
About You
* Previous experience as a Site Agent / Sub Agent on civil engineering or major infrastructure projects.
* Strong experience within earthworks is essential.
* Good understanding of site operations, construction methodology and sequencing.
* Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
* Strong knowledge of health & safety and quality requirements.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
* CSCS, SMSTS and relevant site qualifications.
