Site Agent – Water Sector Location: South / West Yorkshire Rate: £350–£425 per day CIS Type: Freelance / Ongoing Sector: Water / Utilities We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a leading regional contractor delivering a programme of works across South and West Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Agent with a strong background in the water/utilities sector looking for ongoing freelance work, with the potential for a long-term pipeline of projects.
The Role
As Site Agent, you’ll be responsible for the successful day-to-day delivery of works on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day site operations and supervising site teams and subcontractors
- Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with RAMS and company procedures
- Monitoring programme, progress and productivity
- Coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
- Maintaining high standards of quality and environmental compliance
- Liaising with the Project Manager, client and wider project team
- Completing site documentation, inspections and reporting
- Identifying and resolving issues proactively to keep works on programme
About You
We’re looking for a confident and experienced Site Agent with:
- Previous experience working within the water/utilities sector
- A proven track record delivering civil engineering or water-related projects
- Strong site management and subcontractor coordination skills
- Excellent understanding of health & safety and quality requirements
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and RAMS
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Relevant site management qualifications/tickets, ideally including SMSTS
- A valid CSCS card What's on Offer?
