About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and proficient Site Engineer to join their operational team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This role is pivotal in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and effective functioning of various engineering systems and equipment on site. You will be responsible for ensuring that all engineering activities comply with safety regulations and meet project specifications, working closely with project managers and on-site teams. This is a hands-on position for an engineer who thrives in an operational environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of engineering practice and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the installation of new engineering systems and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of existing infrastructure to identify maintenance needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering-related issues that arise on site.
- Ensure all engineering work adheres to strict health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with contractors and other site personnel to coordinate engineering activities.
- Maintain detailed records of site activities, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
Requirements
- Experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar engineering role with on-site responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering principles relevant to site operations.
- Proven ability to manage engineering projects and troubleshoot technical problems.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices in construction or industrial environments.
- Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., HND, Degree).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
