Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Site Engineer to join their construction team in Southampton . This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate setting out and technical execution of works on site. You will be responsible for managing site engineering activities, quality control, and ensuring that construction is carried out according to design specifications and safety standards. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain broad experience across various construction projects in the Hampshire area.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake setting out and survey tasks accurately using modern equipment.
• Ensure construction activities conform to design drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Implement and monitor site safety procedures and risk assessments.
• Check and approve site-related documentation and records.
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and clients on technical matters.
• Assist in resolving site-related technical queries and problems.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar engineering role on construction sites.
• Proficiency with total stations, GPS, and other surveying equipment.
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications in Southampton .
