About the Role
Our client seeks a reliable and technically proficient Site Engineer to oversee and execute installation and maintenance projects in and around Portsmouth . This role is essential for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing on-site operations, troubleshooting technical challenges, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery across Hampshire . The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, excellent leadership qualities, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence, representing our client professionally at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise on-site installation activities, ensuring adherence to plans and schedules.
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to assess project requirements and potential challenges.
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering and technical issues that arise during installation or maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth operations.
- Prepare and submit detailed site reports, including progress updates and quality control documentation.
Requirements
- Degree or HND in a relevant Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in site management, installation, or maintenance engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and best practices.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced site environment.
