About the Role
Our client seeks a diligent and proactive Site Engineer to support various construction projects remotely. In this role, you will contribute to the technical planning and execution of projects, focusing on ensuring construction activities are carried out safely, correctly, and efficiently. Although the role is remote, you will work closely with site teams to provide technical guidance and resolve on-site issues. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who is adept at leveraging technology for remote support and communication within the construction field .
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of method statements and risk assessments for construction activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to site teams, interpreting drawings and specifications accurately.
- Monitor and report on construction progress, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
- Help in the setting out of works and ensure all structural elements are constructed according to design.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues that arise on site, liaising with designers and project managers for resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, materials used, and progress achieved, using digital platforms for reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working as a Site Engineer or in a similar technical role on construction projects .
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications .
- Familiarity with surveying equipment and techniques, and ability to guide remote operation or interpretation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Comfortable using digital tools and platforms for reporting and collaboration in a remote environment .
