About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to manage and oversee installation and maintenance projects across various locations, with a primary focus in and around Sunderland . This role is critical for ensuring that all technical installations are performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for on-site supervision, quality control, and coordinating with installation teams and clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned engineer who thrives in a hands-on, site-based environment and possesses strong leadership and project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct on-site installation teams, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or logistical issues that arise during installation and maintenance activities.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Manage on-site resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to optimize efficiency.
- Prepare detailed site reports, including progress updates, issue logs, and completion documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar project management/supervisory role within installation and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and best practices for site operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in site management and reporting.
- Must hold a valid UK driving license and be based within commuting distance of Sunderland .
