Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and technically skilled Site Engineer to support construction operations in Brighton . This role is critical for ensuring the accurate setting out of works, managing site surveys, and supporting the site management team with technical queries. You will be responsible for maintaining quality control and adherence to engineering plans and specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to gain hands-on experience on diverse construction projects and contribute to their successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake setting out and surveying duties using relevant equipment and software.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate construction execution.
• Monitor and record the quality of works being undertaken on site.
• Assist in the preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers regarding technical requirements.
• Ensure all site engineering activities are conducted safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Junior Engineer on construction sites.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS) and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and engineering principles .
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid CSCS card is required.
